What makes these work
Milestone subjects work best when they're specific and short. '5,000 customers — short note' beats 'We're celebrating!' by every metric. Naming the specific milestone (number, date, achievement) signals the email is about something real. Avoid 'thanks to all of you' framing — it's the lowest-effort version of gratitude. Founder-signed milestone notes outperform brand-signed ones because the personal cue makes the moment feel real.
