What makes these work
Post-purchase subjects should be transactional in tone. The buyer wants confirmation, not enthusiasm. 'Thanks for your order' beats 'YAY! Thanks for your order!' on every metric. Be specific about what the email contains ('Order #1247 confirmed — what's next') so the buyer knows whether to act now or file. For shipping confirmations, naming the carrier and the ETA in the subject reduces customer-service volume by giving buyers the answer they'd email about anyway. Review-request subjects work best when they're honest about the ask ('Would you leave a quick review?') rather than disguised as updates. Avoid marketing-style subjects on transactional emails; the trust premium of transactional sends only holds when the buyer can tell at a glance that the email is what it says it is.
